Thank you for considering this opportunity to put Book One of the fantastical "Clara Wu and the World of Azen" series into the hands of deserving Asian American students in the Greater Boston area. As a new school year has begun, it's time to provide an Asian American themed book series into the hands of eager readers or their classrooms! Asian American readers, especially young ones, rarely get to see themselves as heroes. Maybe, this will inspire some Azen themed Halloween costumes. Be that change in three easy steps!
  1. Purchase book one (in increments of 5)
  2. Deliver to the designated Amazon Hub Counter+
  3. I will then distribute the books to students

  • You may purchase Book One, "Clara Wu and the Portal Book" here.
  • Here is the series page on Amazon if you want to peruse through all the books.

Note: In order to enjoy "Clara Wu and the World of Azen," the fantastical adventure needs to start with Book One, "Clara Wu and the Portal Book."

  • Can I donate a set?: It would be more impactful to have book one, "Clara Wu and the Portal Book" get into more readers' hands to start their journey.
  • Will my purchase be tax-deductible? If you'd like to make a larger purchase ($250 minimum is recommended), then yes. I have partnered up with the Chinese American Heritage Foundation - a 501(c)3 organization - who you may make the donation to and they will purchase the books. Click here for more details.
  • My company has a corporate match, may I use that? Yes, through the same partnership with the Chinese American Heritage Foundation, you may get your company involved (note that your company will get the credit and not you - you will received credit from your company for the donation). Click here for more details. Thank you for considering this charitable corporate option.

Here is my plan of distribution for the 2023-2024 school year.

  • At the 2023 BTU Book Fair in September, 100 Clara Wu Books were quickly snatched up by eager readers in less than 30 minutes! 500 Clara Wu Books could have been easily snatched up by these Boston students looking for something new to read!
  • In May 2024, there will be an AAPI Book Fair and more Clara Wu Books will be needed!
  • There are many other book fairs in the Greater Boston area that I hope to distribute books to.
  • I'm happy to announce that hundreds of Clara Wu Books are now in classrooms in Boston and even in one school in New York City.
  • I'm busily scheduling more classroom readings and I need more books!
  • The kids love getting books that are autographed. It creates a memorable experience and for many Asian American kids, it's their first time getting a book signed by someone who looks like them.
  • Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese schools, AAPI After School Programs, Music and Martial Arts Schools, what do they all have in common? Asian American students! My goal is to also distribute books to them because in the end, they are embracing their Asian heritage and with "Clara Wu and the World of Azen," they can see themselves as heroes.
  • I have a number of friends who teach and volunteer at these programs and they'd love to give away books to their Asian American students.
